The LBK has said that the ZERE decision, according to them, is unprepared, unilateral and with serious consequences.
Urgent request for suspension of ZERE decision
The Kosovo Business Connection (LBK) requires urgent suspension for a 1-year period of the Energy Regulatory Office decision (ZRRE), regarding the transition of businesses to the free electricity market.
This decision is unprepared, unilateral, and with serious consequences, at risk:
The sustainability of the production sector,
The liquidity of businesses,
and the danger of the country's workforce, said the LBK communique.
On the other hand, the League of Business has proposed that during this term of suspension, the institutions responsible take a full review of the decision's economic impact.
) ) The LBK proposes that during this term of suspension, the institutions responsible undertake:
A complete analysis of the economic impact of the decision,
Developing a safe and fair transition plan,
Compulsory consultations with the business community add to the communique.
Furthermore, the LBK has invited all institutions, ods and other business associations to cooperate with this critical ʹphaza.
Set up defense mechanisms against abuses in the energy market
If implemented at this stage, this decision will produce serious consequences for the private sector, increase operating costs and undermine investor confidence in business climate stability in Kosovo, and jeopardise EU production and markets.
We invite all government institutions, but also Odays and other business associations to cooperate in this critical phase.
Business sounds should be heard equally.
