The United States Embassy in Pristina has said that the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo's recent decision about the blockade in the Kosovo Assembly underscores the importance of constitutional processes. This spokesman has added that the US has long supported Kosovo's democratic development and is eager to work with the new government to advance regional stability, security and prosperity.
The Constitutional Court of Kosovo on Thursday has issued a decision forcing political parties to respect the spirit of the Constitution to give the country the new institutions for a 30-day term.
The Constitution has specified that the right given to the largest party to exit the election to propose the candidate for the Speaker of the Parliament should not be used to block the processes. It has also called on parties to participate in the vote.
Political parties have reacted to the decision, and are expected to see how today's constitutional session will go, first after the Constitutional decision.. /Periscopi/
