Starting today, June 26th and August 13th 2025, political subjects can apply to the Central Election Commission to be certified for participation in local elections, which will be held on October 12th 2025.
CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi has confirmed to Clankosova.tv that political subjects (political parties, coalitions, civic initiatives and independent candidates) also have to hand over the list with the names of the candidates for mayors of the municipalities and for the Communist Framework> during this period.
According to the CEC, the application will be enabled online for political subjects and remains in their will to determine the kind of elections they want to participate in.
It is entirely in the will of political subjects to determine in which municipalities they want to compete. It is also in the will of political subjects to choose whether in a certain municipality they will compete only in elections for the Comune Mayor or for the Municipal Assembly or for both”.
With the aim of facilitating the application, this process will be enabled online through electronic platform”, Elez said. /Periscopi
