Kosovo police, through Task Force units and in co-operation with Kosovo Customs, have continued commitments to prevent smuggling and illegal activities along Kosovo's border with Serbia.
A successful operation has been conducted on June 23rd 2025, when an improvised trailer that had been passed illegally from the village of Trrnoca in Serbia, towards the village of Hodonoc in Kamenica.
During the operation, a trailer loaded with about 220 decorative trees, which were destined for distribution within Kosovo, has been discovered, avoiding customs duties.
The smuggled goods had a total value of about 70,000 euros, in addition to possible avoidance from customs duties.
“Remorrchio was loaded with decorative wood that was equipped with labels for distribution through local mail. During the search on the courtyard of an uninhabited house in the village of Hodonoc, the property of N.P., the trailer allegedly used by L.I., which was arrested at the site of the event”, is reportedly on the police report.
Kosovo police have co-operated with the State Prosecutor for the implementation of this operation. Remocratia and goods have been seized and submitted for further procedures at the customs terminal./Periscopi/
