The detention measure was replaced by house arrest by lawyer, court official, and citizen suspected of exercising influence

The Constitutional Court in Gjilan has replaced the measure of detention with house arrest in the duration of 30 days (each separately), lawyer Bekim Parallangaj, court official in Prizren, Nysret Popnik, and citizen Bekim Krasniqi. Sabit Shkodra, spokesperson for the Foundation Court in Gjilan, confirmed to “Justice Trust” that the prosecution had demanded that this move be assigned for two months, but the judge of the preliminary procedure partially approved the prosecution's request, assigning home arrest for a month, broadcasts Periscope.
He added that the three suspects were seized in preports.
In terms of the case in question, we announce that by the date of 18.06.2025, the Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjilan has proposed replacing the detention measure, to the extent of house arrest in two (2) months. The preliminary procedure judge outside the session has partially approved the request for replacement of the house arrest measure to Bekim Krasniqi, Bekim Parallangaj and Nysret Pepnik, in length of (1) one month for each separately, which will last until the 1707.2025. Conform Article 181 paragraph 9 of the three defendants are seized their personal passports, which they are obliged to hand to court”, Shkodra confirmed.
Otherwise, the Constitutional Court in Gjilan on May 25th 2025 had approved Gjilan's Constitutional Prosecutor's request, assigning the detention measure to the 30-day-long defendants, Popnik and Krasniqi.
The three suspects were arrested May 22nd under suspicion that they committed criminal work “impact”, the act sanctioned with the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
