Multinational exercise “Defender Europe {25x1>, one of the largest and most complex exercises of the last decade in Europe and Africa, began several days ago by Albania.

Within the exercise, a simulated naval operation took place in the territorial waters of Durres, about six miles from the port. According to the media, Albanian Marine Fleet “Lisus”, “Oric” and “Semani”, as well as two American ships and two helicopters “Cougar” Air Force.

And the American Embassy in Tirana said the Adriatic Sea was turned into a simulation scene today to conduct sea operations as part of “Defender25x1>.

In her Facebook post, two ship patrols from the US Navy Marine Emergency Security Team were said to accompany Albanian Marine Corps ships during the exercise, which included Albanian forces that landed by rope and boarded a Marine Force ship.

In her Facebook post, the embassy said that “D EFANDER 25 is the largest annual American Army exercise in Europe, uniting 25,000 troops from 29 Allied countries and partners to increase rapid distribution and readiness for joint operations”.

“These exercises are essential to ensure that NATO Allies remain ready to meet the real security challenges”, the American Embassy in Tirana said.
