Of these registered deaths, 10,000 and 137 deaths have occurred within Kosovo's territory, of which 5 thousand and 320 are men or 52.5% and 4 thousand and 817 deaths are women or 47.5%.
Compared to the preceding 2023 year, the death toll has increased by 515. In 2023 there were 9 and a thousand 622 people dead inside Kosovo's territory.
However, between Kosovo and Kosovo a thousand and 673 deaths have been recorded. Compared to 2023 1 thousand and 499 deaths, 174 more people died in 2024, the Kosovo Statistics Agency has announced.
According to the municipality where death occurred, there are mostly 2 thousand and 795 or 23.7% deaths in Pristina; in Prizren 1 032 deaths or 8.7%; in Pec 712 deaths or 6.0%, etc.
Dead babies in 2024, located only in Kosovo, were 126, and their total turnout was 1.2%. Of those dead babies, 70 cases were men or 55.6% and women 56 cases or 44.4%.
Dead babies up to 6 days were 94 or 75.2%; babies dead from 7 to 27 days were 18 or 14.4%; and babies dead from 28 to 364 days were 13 or 10.4%.
The average age of dead persons in 2024 was 72, of them for men 70 years, and for females 74 years.
