Kosovo Customs, in co-operation with the Border Police, has prevented a case from introducing undeclared monetary means through the border point at Vremics.
During a detailed search at the entrance of the territory of the Republic of Kosovo in the early hours of the morning, a vehicle is said to have been selected for secondary control following negative statements by travellers. Monetary tools have been discovered in the body of driver and passenger, worth a total of 55,000 euros.
Following consultation with the guardian prosecutor, procedure has been taken, where, in line with the Customs Code and Akciza, the seizure of 25% of the undeclared amount has been initiated, while the rest of the vehicles have been temporarily banned until the investigation is completed.
Kosovo's “Dogan recalls that any person who enters or leaves the territory of the Republic of Kosovo and carries more than 10,000 euros is obliged to declare the amount of legislation in force. Disadmission constitutes violations and is subject to punitive measures”, said in customs announcement. /Periscopi/
