Customs estimates close to 18 thousand euros in Vmica

According to the announcement, during the detailed examination of the vehicle, customs officials have encountered undeclared monetary means to a total of 17,950,00 euros, divided into these cuts:

• 74 bills from 100 euros ʹ7400.00 euros
• 211 euro bills 10.550.00 euros

In addition, customs calls on citizens to declare the money they have over 10,000 euros in order to prevent punishment.

Undeclared Monetary Tools Discovered in Vermica

Prizren, June 10, 2025 Today, at Vermica Border Point, during a joint search conducted by Kosovo Customs and Border Police, has been selected for detailed control in the second line of Kosovo license plates.

During the detailed analysis of the vehicle, customs officials have encountered undeclared monetary means of a total of 17,950.00 euros, separated in these cuts:

• 74 bills from 100 euros ʹ7400.00 euros
• 211 euro bills 10.550.00 euros

In the absence of preliminary statements and documentation on the origin of the tools, Dogana has made the selection of tools until in line with Article 33.5 of the Customs Code and the Kosovo Actis (KDAK), the automatic slip has become the seizure of the amount of 4,487.50 euros that represents 25% of the total undeclared sum until the rest is kept until the end of the investigative procedures.

Kosovo customs reminds all citizens and travellers to declare exactly the monetary means over 10,000 euros they carry with them during the introduction or exit of the customs territory of the Republic of Kosovo, in line with legislation in effect, in order to prevent illegal financial activities and avoid unnecessary penalties.
