Court in Pec imposes detention measures, suspension of two police officials

The Foundation Court in Pec, the Department for Criminal Crimes, has approved the request of the Constitutional Prosecutor and has appointed the extent of the detention for P.T. and N.G., under suspicion of carrying out criminal work “Keq use of official position or authority”, according to Article 414, paragraph 1 of the Republic of Kosovo's Penal Code.
Following the hearing session held on 22 June, the preliminary procedure judge has estimated that the detention of indictees to approach a certain country or person is necessary to avoid possible impact on criminal procedure.
The court has found that legal conditions for this measure have been met, in line with Article 184, paragraph 1, subparagraph 1.2.3 of the Penal Procedure Code.
Similarly, the court has approved the provisional suspension from office for the two defendants serving in the Kosovo Police.
This suspension will be in force from June 21st to July 21st 2025, based on Article 539 of the Criminal Procedure Code. /Periscope/
