The ex-cop's wife detained in Serbia seeks response from institutions: Don't shut up

Arjeta Spahiu, wife of Arbnor, the former police detained in Serbia, has demanded reaction from the government presidency. She has said the country's institutions should protect Arbnor, as he had spared nothing to contribute to the country. It has said that Arbnor more than ever now needs [...]

She has said the country's institutions should protect Arbnor, as he had spared nothing to contribute to the country.

It for Dukaagjini Television has said that Arbnor more than ever now needs support, which so far all institutions have kept silent.

I publicly request that you take a stand, speak up, and take concrete steps to address the case of my husband and others like him. Arbnor has contributed to Kosovo's security for years. And today, when he has more than ever need of support, he is left in silence. No institution has reacted. Neither the president of the country nor the Parliament nor anyone else. And this silence is another pain for my family. I'm not just talking here as a wife. I'm speaking as a citizen. Because tomorrow this could happen to someone else. I request from President Vjosa Osmani, the government and all institutions to respond immediately. Arbnor needs to get home. He's not guilty. He's a silent hero in this country.”.

The full call of former Special Unit police officer Arjeta Spahiu's wife:

Dear President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Vjosa Osmani, with deep pain and a sense of great injustice, I am addressing you publicly, as the wife of a former member of the Kosovo Special Unit a man who has served the state with honour, devotion and great sacrifice. It's unforgivable and unintelligible to me and to many citizens who believe in the justice of this state you've never come out to speak publicly about him, his contribution, to the suffering and injustice he is experiencing today. He has given everything to this country, and instead of gratitude, he is facing institutional silence. Mrs. President, it is the moral and state responsibility that the country's institutions react, protect and care for those who have protected this country when it was the hardest.

Today, when my husband needs the most moral and institutional support, he is forgotten. This silence is hurting my family, our children, and all those who believed that the sacrifice for this land would be appreciated. Please don't let silence be the only answer for those who gave everything for this country. I publicly request that you take a stand, speak up, and take concrete steps to address the case of my husband and others like him. Because silence is the joint”. /Periscope/
