The Israeli Army says it has hit“an Iranian jet for fuel supply at Mashad Airport east of Iran”, deep in northeastern Iran, in what it describes as the longest-range hit it has conducted since the start of its operation, CNN reports.
Mashhad International Airport is about 70 miles from Iran's border with Turkmenistan; Israeli Protection Forces (IDF) said in a statement Sunday that it is located about 2,300 km (1,430 km) away from Israel.
“The FAI is moving to establish airspace over Iranian airspace. This marks the longest-range hit since the beginning of the operation,” states in the IDF's statement. /Periscope/
