Thirty-eightes “EVAW” for the constitutionalisation of the Assembly has failed since April 15th, nor has the “efforts”-Thirteenth today at 11:00 expect any change.
Political party leaders in Kosovo have failed to agree on the road out of the blockade after a meeting Saturday that lasted over two hours.
The situation does not seem to have changed even an act of Constitutional Court announced on Thursday afternoon, which obliges deputes to make the constitution binding. She decided MPs should complete the constitutional session within 30 days, at the latest until 26 July.
Vetevendosje Movement Chairman Albin Kurti said on Wednesday that PDK and LDK “have misinterpreted the Constitutional Court's act and are publicly misinterpreting it”.
He showed that he maintains the same attitudes, although he mentioned two compromise options.
The first “compromis was the one to have said even our proposed candidate for Parliament Speaker Albulen Haxhiu, who said that in the event of the secret vote, she does not get at least 61 votes, she withdraws from the candidacy. She has done so unilaterally, but I respect her decision. She doesn't want to be voted twice by secret vote”.
The second “compromis was to make a political agreement regarding Article 67 of the Constitution, which is a package deal for the chairman and vice president, and then if they never want the secret vote, let them delegate their representatives to this secret voting commission, which we can bring down by vote, because the process has remained in half. We have delegated Hekuran Mqirat, let others delegate, and then we tear it down, so that the chairman and vice-presidents can be voted in the” package, he said.
Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi said that “against the fact that the situation is not the same after the act, Kurti is the same, and his positions are the same”.
“We requested very clearly and fairly, with the bias not to continue with the arbitrary of the last 20 sessions with the commission's request for a secret vote, but to reverse the point for open voting for the candidate. It's their case if they change their name. They know the offer we gave from the beginning, anyone who wasn't a minister or minister can even vote. It seems that this will not happen”, he said.
Democratic League of Kosovo Chairman Lumir Abdixhiku also said Kurti has not changed his stance.
We took part with the best will to find solutions, though at the same time with greater fear than the entire meeting was more public than substantial farce. Unfortunately, our fears were confirmed”, where he expresses it.
Movement from this situation, he said it is becoming impossible from “to pre-emptive positions”,
Alliance for the Future of Kosovo MP Time Kadriaj said the LVV missed no proposal offered by other parties.
If we continue the same practices tomorrow, they are deliberately violating the Constitution”, she said, insisting that the vote become an open subject.
Social Democrat Initiative Chairman Fatmir Limaj said this is resolved only with political agreements.
The Vetevendosje Movement is casting a proposal every two days for forming a commission for a secret vote, which is not receiving the necessary votes. The PDK has argued on Wednesday that this bias excludes the secret vote, but in LVVV they say it allows it to.
The effort to make the secret vote by the party, which has come first in the February 9th elections, came after Albulen Haxhiu, their candidate for chief parliament, repeatedly failed to get the 61 votes needed to be elected.
Other Albanian parties argue it is a violation of changing voting in half of the process./Periscopi/
