Republican congresswoman Keith Self, at the opening of the session, spoke of the importance of Kosovo's security and democratic advances, as well as the necessity to counter the harmful influence of Russia and China in the region.
He also raised concern about destabilising activities stemming from Serbia and Republika Srpska ? developments that are increasingly attracting the attention of American and NATO officials.
While retired Admiral Mark Montgomery praised that Serbia and Republika Srpska undermine stability in the Balkans during this hearing session.

Self even said General Cavolli has told him that “Bosnja and Herzegovina can collapsulate” overnight.
He also recalled NATO's 1999 operation, while saying this coalition “entered into the war for Kosovo by bombing Serbia”.
Meanwhile, Congresswoman Self said Albania, Northern Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria and Romania surrounding three entities that are not part of NATO.
