Self opened the hearing with a strong emphasis on the importance of Kosovo's security, democratic progress and the urgency of opposition to Russian and Chinese influence in the region.
He also stressed growing concerns about destabilizing activities stemming from Serbia and Republika Srpska, both of which have drawn added attention from US and NATO officials.
During the testimony, retired Admiral Mark Montgomery gave an assessment to Serbia and Republika Srpska as destabilizing subjects.
