CNN reports that “Diplomat denied media reports under which Iran has called for mediation from Oman and Qatar for a ceasefire with Israel and the resumption of nuclear agreement talks, calling them invalid “”.
Oman's Foreign Minister, Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, said over the weekend that the sixth round of talks between Tehran and Washington, scheduled for yesterday, has been cancelled, however, “diplomacy and dialogue remain the only way to lasting peace”.
Oman's state news agency reported today that Iranian President Masoud Peschian has told Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said in a telephone conversation today that supports diplomatic solutions through dialogue and negotiations.
