They are protesting ahead of the Pristina municipality's targets, seeking solutions for the financial crisis that has affected the company.
In this context, the union has submitted a set of requests to the Pristina municipality, including:
• The return of all illegally registered financial means so far from the Pristina Community to the quickest time the garbage collection begins.
• Public access to the media by relevant municipal authorities, calling for billing and payments to be carried out exclusively through the KR “Cleaning”.
• The complete removal of private operators from waste collection operation and the start of full implementation of regulation in force.
• Cutting off any misinterpretation by municipal authorities, as any action outside the court is illegal and violates the rights of 900 workers who are at risk of being laid off.
• A more constructive and cooperative approach in the future, ensuring that the union is informed and involved in all decisions affecting workers' rights.
“Cleaning” workers have stressed that they will not withdraw from the strike until the full fulfillment of their demands. /Periscope/
