Addressing the situation in Iran, he said NATO allies have long agreed that Iran should not develop a nuclear weapon, writes Skynews.
“Aleates have repeatedly urged Iran to fulfil its obligations under the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT)”, Rutte said.
He went on to say that the alliance's new investment plan in defence will be 5% of GDP, and that will help ensure defence.
“As leaders begin gathering for the summit here, this is our focus to make sure that we have everything we need to prevent and protect from any threat”, he adds.
He notes that the key “threat that confronts the defence alliance is Russia. /Periscope/
