The state of Chad has announced that it will suspend visa issuing for American citizens, in view of a ban on the Trump Administration, that citizens of this American country visit the United States.
The Independent has reported that the decision comes after the US president's announcement of a 12-nation visa ban on the 12 states, including Chad, citing insufficient “processes of reviewing and verifying the repatriation of citizens living longer than they should in the US.
The US ban will also affect Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.
Also, there will be increased restrictions for visitors from seven other countries in the new travel policy, which goes into force Monday.
Chad's president has said that the suspension of visas for Americans “is in line with reciprocity principles”.
There are no planes to offer, not billions of dollars to give, but he has his dignity and pride”, he has declared Mahamat Deby. /Periscope/
