Citing this candidacy as part of a common political commitment, Ceku stressed that politics does not view it as individual activities, but as a team work.
I don't even see politics before as an individual activity, to borrow it from sports terminology. I see politics as team work. There are many players on that team, and there is a technical leadership staff where certain decisions are made. And players play the best strategy to win. This is a team job. I was asked and agreed to play for a certain position. This is part of this overall battle”, Ceku said.
The Vetevendosje movement has formalised its candidacy yesterday to lead the race for the capital. Regular municipal elections in Kosovo will be held on 12 October, while the race for Pristina is expected to be one of the strongest.
Ceku currently holds the post of Culture, Youth and Sports and is one of the figures close to incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti. /Telegraph
