CEC: Preparing for local elections, we haven't talked about the Assembly

CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi said the Commission is currently making preparations for holding local elections in October, while he has said the CEC has not discussed media conflicts concerning the extraordinary economic elections for the Kosovo Assembly. “CEC political developments do not comment on and on what the CEC is about we organise a process [...]
The CEC does not comment on the political developments, and we organise an electoral process after it is announced by the relevant institution such as the president.
“To tell the right to the CEC is not that it has discussed media conflicts or different opinions that appear in the media for a new election process for the Kosovo Assembly and, of course, has not even discussed a new election process or the impact it may have. The whole CEC job at this time is oriented in organising local elections that require a lot of commitment since there are two types of elections for mayors and municipal municipalities. Soon there will be a period of application of political subjects for certificates and, unlike elections for the Kosovo Assembly in local elections, the number of candidates is much higher and there is specificness and a burden in organisation, and the entire CEC work is oriented in this direction”, Elez said. /Periscope/
