The elections are expected to be held in October, but expected to be decided between two dates, 19 October or 26 October for Kosovo citizens to turn to ballot boxes to elect their mayor.

More or less, political parties have already been defined as running for Pristina chairman.

Kosovo's Demoractic League will continue again with Rama Progress, while the Democratic Party of Kosovo has once again given its trust to Ismaili Bridge, which in the last local elections came in third.

The Pristina chairmanial race has already been officially confirmed by Besa Sahini, former minister of education in the Government of Albania, once wife of Dardan Moliqaj.

The party, led by Behgjet Pacolli, the New Kosovo Alliance, will compete with Selim Pacolli for Pristina chairman.

At least so said one source of the paper by this political subject.

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, as media have reported, will compete with Beka Berisha for Pristina chairman.

Periscopi has also learned that Gent Begolli (former AAK Ambassador and former director of public services in Pristina's KK) will be in the race for Pristina chairmanship along with a group that has formed through a civic film.

And what four years ago lost in Pristina -- the Vetevendosje Movement -- has not yet decided on the name with which it will compete for Pristina.

Periscop sources have said there are three or four names being discussed in the party led by Albin Kurti.

Glauk Konjufca, Arben Vitita, Hajrullah Ceku, Ilir Krkeli, are some of the names that are being mentioned as being candidates for Pristina's first.

According to these sources, Arben Vitita has zero interest in entering the race again, following the loss of four years ago by the LDK's Rama progress, but which in case it is again candidate is in the hands of Albin Kurti.

The Vetevendosje movement is seriously thinking of nominating Glauk Konjufka for head of Pristina, a name he has been talking about for months now.

But he was the chairman of the Vetevendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, who has been confusing the waters in an interview in RTK and, among other things, said Glauk Konjufca will have a new position in Government, the minister's one.

It is unknown whether Kurti's tacticalisation was this statement for the second person of the party, but that until now Konjufca is neither a minister nor a candidate for Pristina chairman.

The local elections were held on October 17th 2021, while the second round on November 14th.

In the first round in Pristina was this result:

Arben Vitia (VV) 36 thousand 818 votes or 42.54 %
Progress Rama (LDK) 25 thousand 252 or 29.17%
Ismaili ( PDK) 18 thousand 771 votes or 21.69 %

In the second round held on November 14th, Progress Rama had upset the outcome by receiving 41 thousand and 46 votes, or 50.98 per cent, while Arben Vitita received 40.143 thousand votes or 49.02%./ Periscope.
