Over the past 10 months, Serkin has won three grand awards -- $500,600,390 US dollars) in August, $1m (730,780 US dollars) in November and another million in May of this year, reports Guardian.
According to Canada's Western Lottery Corporation (WCLC), these are its second, third and fourth lottery profits in his life, with the first coming more than 10 years ago when he won $250,000.
I know the odds are astronomical. I don't think it's going to happen again, but I still like buying tickets”, Serkin said.
He reportedly bought his last winning ticket at a gas station in his hometown of Lethbridge, and only for the first of those victories, the chance to win the grand prize was one in 33.3 million.
Serkin has been playing the lottery regularly since 1982 because, he says, he enjoys the ritual.
“Blin a ticket, check the numbers and if you're lucky, you'll be satisfied with the” profits, Serkin explains.
