Bullick's false promises, the call to be opened in 2024, still closed at 2025

According to the plan of the works and public announcements made earlier by Mayor Bulliqi himself, this nest was set to end and become operational in December 1923. However, although much of the work has been completed, the object has not yet been functional, while promises have not been fulfilled.

By March 2024, Bulliqi had published a video on his Facebook account, revealing the dynamics of the project and promising the completion of the nest by the end of that year. In the post, he stressed that it is working at a high pace.

The high-speed “, according to plan, is developing work on building the new nest in the city. The new dream is to complete at the end of the year. We have four functional nests, two new ones built, and three planned for this year. We continue with big jobs and projects”, Bulliqi said.

But his warning has already been over a year, and the new recall is still not functional. So far, no official announcement has been given about the reasons for the delay, though under the contract, the project was scheduled to be completed on December 15th, 2024.

Periscop's editorial has sent questions to the Podujevo municipality to get clarifications regarding the status of the nursery and the delay in implementing the contract, but until the moment this article is published, no answers have been accepted.

On the other hand, the Kosovo Democratic League branch in Podujevo has reacted sharply, accusing President Bulqi of political manipulation with municipal projects.

The LDK branch secretary in Podujevo, Besim Latifi, for Periscope claims this nest is being maintained for campaigning, and that the project has become an electoral tool.

The reality on the ground proves deep failure and a total lack of responsibility in the field of education and child care. This nest under the contract was due to be completed on December 15, 2024, but is not finished. In the summer of 2024, President Bulliqi went out publicly promoting this project as one of the most dynamics, guaranteeing it would end in contractual terms. Today we are at the end of June 2025, more than 7 months have passed since the deadline, but there has remained a ruins of”, he says.

Latifi says citizens have not been officially announced on the status of the project and that the municipality has shown neither transparency nor accountability for spent funds.

According to our internal information in the Podujevo municipality, this is no coincidence, but a conscious strategy of power to preserve unfinished projects as electoral material for the local election campaign in Podujevo. The same approach has been followed earlier by this power, abusing without sensitivity any area, including our education and our own children”, he said.

He also recalls the findings of the latest Auditor's Report for the Podujevo Community, where continued budget management violations have been identified.

The Auditor's Report was released a few weeks ago, where the audience uncovered numerous violations, which are repeated every year in reports of the Podujevo municipality. Never has there been any improvement, and leave more responsibility for misuse of public funds”, Latifi concludes.
