Free Europe Radio asked the Government of Kosovo if the US administration has sent her such a request, and is awaiting the answer.
Similarly, REL has also addressed authorities in Serbia.
Demands to countries in the region are part of a broader US strategy to find foreign governments willing to accept expelled migrants, Bloomberg reports, citing sources that have knowledge of the issue.
Reuters writes it could not independently verify the report.
The agency writes that the White House, the US State Department and Serbia's Foreign Ministry have not yet responded to its demands for comment.
Last month, the US Supreme Court allowed the Trump administration to withdraw temporary legal status for hundreds of thousands of migrants from Venezuela, Cuba, Haiti and Nicaragua living in the US, thus strengthening the republican president's efforts to increase expulsions.
According to Bloomberg, the Trump administration is seeking potential destinations for migrants who could be expelled as a result of this decision.
