Kosovo's incumbent Deputy Prime Minister, Besnik Bislimi, after meeting in Brussels on Monday with the European Union's envoy for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Peter Sorensen, has said it was meant to have a trilateral meeting, but Serbia's team has faced delays for arriving in Brussels.
In a TIME statement, Bislim has told of the subjects discussed at today's meeting with Sorensen.
“has also been an initial three-way meeting, but has not been able to happen because complications have occurred with Serbia's team, which has not arrived in Brussels due to delays”, he has indicated.
Bislimi said that at this first meeting with Sorensen, he has shown him the approach he will have at the next stage of talks that will be held at the level of chief negotiators or even at the high meetings that will be led by Kaya Kallas.
“At the bilatreal meeting we set up a series of topics that we think is very important that we have answers from Brussels, or solutions, for example. We have the case of integrated management of the border where there are major impasses on Serbia's part, as in fulfilling their obligations, for example. at the three border points that you had to build or respond to our proposals for Bujanoc and Bretnica to open seasonal points while there are travelers returning from the diaspora but also problems we have with knowing certificates. We also discussed a very important process that we have the support of Albanians in the Presevo Valley through aid to small farmers. It has blocked Serbia in the bank accounts of the Albanian National Council, we requested as soon as the unblocking of these tools, we also talked about the deinformative campaign Serbia has launched on many fronts with the aim of dezinforming international partners, but also on top of the pressures on Serbian citizens in Kosovo and other similar topics”, he has said. /Periscope/
