Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK) in co-operation with the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and innovation (MASHTI) has published education statistics for the 2024/2025 school year.
Statistics report that the biggest interest in the private sector in the 2024/2025 school year has been observed, compared to 2023/2024.
The number of students in primary and lower secondary education in the 2024/2025 school year was 208.515, of them in the public sector was 199.190 or 95.5% and in the private sector 9.325 or 4.5%.
Compared to the 2023/2024 school year, where the number of students was 215,431, of them in the public sector was 206,941 or 96.1% and in the private sector 8,490 or 3.9%.
We can see from this that the public sector has a decrease in total numbers, while the private sector has a slight increase in the number of students compared to 2023/2024”, said the ASS report. /Periscope/
