Behram said Osmani continued the mandate of the Special Court, the Presidency reacts: Still signed nothing.

Behram through a post on the social network on Facebook wrote that Osman has done so slyly and without public debate.

“SKANDALOZE: Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, through exchange of letters with the EU has continued EULEX's mandate, therefore the Special Court in Kosovo. He did this slylyly, without public debate, secretly”.

He also said Osman is hiding the contents.

The ongoing EULEX mission, following injustices at the Special Court without debate, is scandalous. The president has had to negotiate the continuation of the mandate, at least on condition that EULEX take over guarantees the Special Court requires for the release of detention and freedom of KLA leaders. EULEX is the main mechanism of the Special Court in Kosovo”, Behram wrote.

The immediate reaction from the presidency was calling the statement of Behram libel.

You know what? The president neither appoints nor continues a special court term. The mandate of this court is defined with constitutional tender voted by Kosovo's 2/3 Parliament, and it cannot either be changed or continued by the presidency institution” have reacted by the presidency.

Also in response it is said that Osman has not signed any documents, even though as “is fully on its” mandate.

“The president has yet to sign anything pertaining to EULEX's mandate, even though it is fully in its mandate to do so, as has been the same in President Thaci's mandate, when he continued EULEX's technical mandate for mentoring, monitoring and counseling. Continued EULEX's mandate is defined in the EU Council's decision of June 5th 2025, which is public”, said in response.
