Behet Pacolli: Kosovo must be done with functional government as soon as Osman's efforts are yet without concrete results, more active approach needed

Vetevendosje is insisting on topparliamentary, Albulen Haxhiun, while other parties are seeing unifying figures. This, according to the latter, was due to the failures he had in the Ministry of Justice, which led him for four years.
Political concern in Kosovo and other developments has spoken of Periscope, former president, once Alliance for New Kosovo chairman Behgjet Pacolli.
Pacolli considers the blockade disturbing, which, according to him, damages the country's image to internationals.
The situation of the institutional blockade in Kosovo is disturbing. More than four months after the elections and 36 failed sessions, citizens are facing a crisis of legitimacy and institutional dysfunction. This undermines not only confidence in the democratic process, but also the international image of Kosovo”, he told Periscope.
Pacolli has said that political will is lacking in parties to reach a compromise in order to overcome this situation.
“The failure of VV candidate Albulen Haxhiu cannot be viewed as mere name issues. More appears to be lacking the political will to find a compromise and build the necessary consensus. The main reason remains the extreme polarisation among political forces, and the lack of sincere dialogue to get out of the driver”, Pacolli has said.
And for that, Pacolli told Periscope that the president must be more active and use <x0mnet” that he has in his power to solve this.
However, he says Osman's meeting with party leaders had nothing concrete.
President Vjosa Osmani's “Role, though its dialogue efforts are to be praised, has not yet produced concrete results. Perhaps it would require a more active and comprehensive approach, exploiting all the constitutional and diplomatic means available to”, the former minister said in an interview for Periscope.
Pacolli also commented on US President Donald Trump's warnings for Kosovo and Serbia.
He says the mention of Kosovo by Trump is important. But according to him, reports should not be neglected even with European Union countries.
Donald Trump's statements for Kosovo dialogue have been used for a new resumption of Kosovo dialogue Serbia. Although very important, but Kosovo must worship good relations with all its partners, wherever they are, and especially with the EU”, Pacolli said of Periscope.
He completely said that Kosovo should have a functional government as soon as possible.
According to Pacolli, delaying institution creation harms the country's development.
Kosovo needs a functional government as soon as possible. Whether it is headed by Albin Kurti or by a broader coalition, the most important is to have a clear mandate and full legitimacy to address domestic and international challenges. Further delays could seriously harm the country's political and economic development”, Pacolli has said of Periscope.
Otherwise, the session for the completion of the ninth legislature began on 15 April. So far only two agenda points have been passed.
While Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has reiterated in early June that the delay in the constitution's constitutionalisation undermines the credibility of institutions and the country's progress towards the Euro-Atlantic agenda.
Diplomatic representatives of the states of QUINT [United States, Great Britain, Italy, France and Germany] as well as Chief of the European Union Office in Kosovo have met weeks ago with incumbent Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurtin, demanding quick formation of institutions to ensure the welfare and prosperity of Kosovo citizens. /Periscope/
