It took a year and a half to organise and has been monitored by Ukraine's President Zelensky, according to his country's security service, reports BBCI follow Periscope.
Ukraine has carried out bold attacks on Russia earlier, but this is a new level, writes diplomatic correspondent Paul Adams from Kiev.
The Russian Defence Ministry says Ukraine carried out a <x0 terrorist attack” in five regions, but says the attacks were “backed”.
Ukrainian authorities report 472 fears and seven ballistic and floating missiles were involved in a Russian attack last night, in what appears to be one of the largest so far.
