Arab Gulf states oppose US involvement in Israel-Iran conflict

Arab Gulf countries, Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, all significant powers in the Middle East and allies of the United States, have issued statements condemning US involvement in the ongoing Israeli-Iran conflict.

An Arabic-language post on the X platform, Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned that the dangerous “tensions the region experiences will lead to catastrophic escalations both to regional and international front”. The ministry called on all parties of “to exercise wisdom and restraint” and to avoid further escalation that would affect people in a region that is already affected by conflict and humanitarian crises, the tch follows.

• Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged the international community to step up its efforts towards a <x0 diplomatic resolution that would guarantee the end of this crisis and lead to the new step towards achieving security and stability in the region”, in an Arabic-language post in X.

• Kuwait's Foreign Ministry singled out the UN Security Council in a call “to respect its responsibilities to maintain global peace and security”. Her statement called for a “immediate and complete suspension of any form of escalation, for a full ceasefire of military activity, and for language content and self-control”.
