Bulgaria reportedly has moved all its diplomats from Tehran to Azerbaijan's capital, Baku, the Balkan country's prime minister said on Thursday.
“We are not shutting down the embassy, but we are moving it to Baku until the risk passes”, Bulgarian Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov said.
He said the government had asked all Bulgarians who wanted to join the convoy to do so. They left with 11 vehicles Wednesday morning.
There was an alternative. They could travel through Turkey, but eventually we decided that they should go through Azerbaijan”, Zhelyazkov added.
