This decision by the United States came as part of an effort to prevent the escalation of the conflict between Israel and Iran, following warnings of Iranian retaliation following Israeli attacks on strategic targets on Iranian territory.
According to the report, about 100 Iranian fears are currently on flight to Israel. The American team, which is usually located in the United Kingdom, has been equipped with specialised ammunition to handle air threats, including short-range drones and ballistic missiles.
Every F-15 aircraft based on this operation is equipped with 21 small interceptors capable of bringing down a dozen drones on a single mission, making it a key element in Israel's air defence efforts.
