According to Fox News, flight tracking data shows that B-2 fighter planes designed for long-range assault missions are heading toward the western coast of America.
Reports add that bombers were apparently supplied with fuel after leaving Missouri, indicating that they left without full reservoirs due to heavy cargo aboard.
On Thursday, Donald Trump said he would make a decision if he hit Iran “within the next two weeks”.
And deploying bombers suggests the American president may be prepared to launch an attack faster than expected.
At first, however, it was not clear exactly where the bombers were going.
The reported destinations include either Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean or an American military base in Guam.
The US would need British permission to launch attacks by Diego Garcia, over which the United Kingdom preserves sovereignty.
But that would not be necessary if they were to be distanced from the base in Guam.
And it's now reported that they are heading towards Guam. /Periscope
