In the presence of our branch facilities in the year, among all those who stopped working for our League, I accepted the appointment of branch Headship for Sokol Halitin for the mayor of this municipality even for a term.
Sokoli is a figure of quiet commitment. It's the man who didn't build power over noise, but over work. He has not sought political glory, but has deserved the respect of citizens with simplicity, honesty, and service. On his three mandates as Chairman of the Year, he has done what many cannot do in a whole political life he has worked every day, at a pace, in a plan, in vision. It has brought concrete projects, real investments, and, above all, it has built an administration that serves.
I've known Sokoli for years. I saw him at work, saw him in charge, saw him quietly. I've seen it not on political scenes decorated with big words, but on the streets of the city, in the city offices, in the villages always visiting people, always ready to respond to their demands.
I know him as a man who doesn't make a sound of himself, but he's doing it. That does not lead to personal careers but to advance the lives of his citizens. I have seen in him a virtue that he rarely finds in today's politics - simplicity and patience to listen to, determination to resolve, and quiet to build. Example for all of us.
In many of our conversations, not only as president of the party, but as a friend, I've heard of the challenges of the Year. For the citizens' troubles. For everyday battles with procedures, bureaucracy, lack of central support. But I never heard him complain. Not to be justified. He's always chosen to work.
Roads and schools have been built in the year, health services expanded, entire villages modernised, farmers supported, and young people supported. Social centers have been established and treated with dignity every layer of society from children to pensioners.
That's why Sokoli deserves four years of tiera.
For the vision he has, he and the LDK jointly, as well as for the great support he enjoys in the year, these four years will come.
