Over 100 KED students and students are attending the practice at KEDS

Over 100 students and students, within KEDS Academy, are attending the practice in KEDs, distributed through different company departments and in all of its districts in Kosovo.

Students are mainly from the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Faculty of Building at the University of Pristina, while students come from Middle Technical Schools throughout Kosovo. They will have the opportunity to follow closely with practical work at one of the biggest energy companies in the country, being equipped with concrete technical and organisational knowledge.

Director of the Department for Quality, Security and Environment at KEDS, Mrs. Valbona Kadrijaj highlights the importance this experience has for young people. “Students and students have already completed the training programme, are attending professional practice and, then, from September to September, the Internship programme continues. With the end of the programme, students and students will be certified by KEDS Academy and the Centre for Energy and Stability (QEQ) within Pristina University. This experience not only prepares them for the job market but also makes them part of a critical sector for the country's development. ”

The students are so excited!

One of the participants in this edition is Rea Zogajani, who has grown in the village of Grabovc, several hundred meters from the coal mine and just a few kilometers from the power plants in Kastriot. Electricity has always been a part of her life.

I wanted to study education, but along the way I changed my mind! I knew the prospect of electricity. I wouldn't turn back, I'm very happy why I chose this profession” Says Rea, currently KEDS member Academy. She, together with her colleagues, is seeing how investments are made in the Electric Network by KEDS. After this important segment, they will see how other sectors within the company function, having a clear situation of the practical functioning of one of the largest energy companies in the country.

This is the 12th season of KEDDS AcademyA program that started right after the company's operation began. So far, hundreds of young people who have gone through this academy have been employed in the company, even reaching high managerial positions.

KEDS Academy remains the main programme of education in terms of the Corporation's social responsibility (CSR). Operating for many years, this program has created stability, being unique and very successful.
