Zelensky through social networks, has said they have developed a very warm and truly substantial “conversation, while thanking the Pope for his words “for the need to achieve a just and lasting peace”.
He has added that they have also talked about the fate of thousands of Ukrainian children kidnapped by Russia, asking for the Vatican's “help to bring them home to their families”.
“Ukrainian wants to end this war and is doing everything to achieve it. We now expect similar steps from Russia”, Zelensky has indicated.
He has also made it known that he invited the Pope to visit Ukraine, saying that the “visitia would bring true hope to all believers and our people. ”
