Zelensky after conversation with Trump: There will be no ultimatum, no surrender of our land

Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelensky, has confirmed that he has held a second conversation with US President Donald Trump, as the latter had communicated with Russian President Vladimir Putin about the possibility of ending the war. During his statement, Zelensky stressed Kiev's firm stand not to withdraw troops from [...] territories.
During his statement, Zelensky stressed Kiev's firm stand not to withdraw troops from occupied territories.
We will not withdraw our troops from our territories, it is my constitutional duty, our forces. There will be no ultimatums, no one will surrender their lands, people and homes. I don't know what the principles of the memorandum mentioned by Putin are, but if Russia sets the conditions for our troops' withdrawal from our land, that means they don't want the war to end. Because they understand clearly that Ukraine will not do this”, Zelensky said.
According to Ukrainian President Trump believes Russia is ready for compromise and that the launch of direct negotiations between Kiev and Moscow is a priority for the American president. He stressed that a ceasefire would be the first step towards proving Russia's true will for peace.
I understand that the United States discussed this with Putin, with the Russian side; that bilateral format can lead to a memorandum that could then create an action plan to end the war, namely, in a deal. A memorandum to be supported by all or both countries, which would include a ceasefire. I don't know about that right now. If Russia proposes a memorandum, we will be able to formulate our vision”, Zelensky said./Periscopi/
