Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelensky, has congratulated Prime Minister Edi Rama and Socialist Party on convincing victory in the May 11th parliamentary elections in Albania, where the Socialists secured 83 of the 140 mandates in the Assembly.
Through a post on the “X” platform, Zelensky expressed appreciation for Rama's commitment to supporting international peace and stability, especially in connection with the conflict in Ukraine.
“Urim Edi Rama and the Socialist Party for convincing victory in the elections. I wish you success in serving the Albanian people”, Zelensky wrote.
Ukrainian President also stressed gratitude for Albania's clear and unchanged position in support of a peaceful resolution of the war in Ukraine.
“We appreciate your clear and firm stand on the need for lasting peace for Ukraine, which can be achieved through a complete and unconditional ceasefire”, he added.
At the end of his message, Zelensky expressed a desire for further strengthening of bilateral relations.
