VV proposes reduction of sessions, LDK goes against

The “Vetevendosje” movement has emerged with a new proposal that has triggered immediate reactions from the opposition. Under this proposal, the Kosovo Parliament's plenary sessions would have to be held only once a week, removing the actual restriction that requires a 48-hour deadline for their call. This proposal was made [...]
This proposal was made before the chairman, Avni Dehari, started the session.
According to VV representatives, this initiative is aimed at increasing efficiency and avoiding continued blockades in parliamentary work. But this proposal has not been well received by opposition parties. The Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Democratic League of Kosovo have strongly opposed it, calling it an attempt to limit debates and postpone important decision-making.
The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) was not present at the session, not participating in the question. Ramush Haradinaj's party today were in the village of Albania (Jablanica of Dushkaja), where the memorial manifestation is organised on the occasion of the village's liberation anniversary, where 43 heroes and martyrs will be honoured.
Meanwhile, the Assembly held today the 17th consecutive session, which failed again in efforts to elect the chief parliament. This institutional impasse has been going on for weeks, further deepening the political crisis and raising concerns about the functionality of state bodies. /Periscope/
