The truce was proclaimed unilaterally by Russia to mark the anniversary of victory in World War II, with a parade to be held in Moscow. However, Ukrainian officials have said that since the early hours of the ceasefire, Russian bombs have hit east of Ukraine killing a civilian and have also reported artillery attacks throughout the front line.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andri Syhbika accused Russia of violating its 734-time ceasefire between midnight and noon Thursday. Calling the truce a <x0farce”.
