The American leader stressed that his team is holding very good “talks with Iran, which are mediated by Oman and led by special envoy for the Middle East Steve Whitkoff. He believes an agreement would save many lives.
However, one of the main points of discussion remains whether Iran will be allowed to enrich uranium.
To address this issue, it has been proposed to create an international consortium that would include Middle East countries and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to produce enriched uranium for Iranian civil reactors.
Meanwhile, Netanyahu has been a strong opponent of any agreement with Tehran and has backed Trump's earlier decision to withdraw the US from the 2015 nuclear agreement.
