In a message to his Social Truth page on Sunday, President Trump said that “for a very long time America has been plagued by vicious, violent and repeat crime offenders”.
The reopening of Alcatraz ʹ once notorious as one of the most difficult U.S. prisons would serve as a “ibol of law, order and justice”, he said.
The main Democrats said the proposal was not “serio”. The maximum security facility, also known as Rock, was closed in 1963 and currently operates as a successful tourist site.
