The summit, organised by Saudi Arabia in its capital, Riyadh, was preceded by numerous predictions regarding the announcement Trump referred to, describing it as a very important <x0 notification” during a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney at the White House on Tuesday, May 6th.
In addition to what Trump intends to announce, the summit agenda and the expected agreements are the focus of attention, ranging from security and military agreements to technological agreements and artificial intelligence agreements.
Will Donald Trump recognise the Palestinian state?
A diplomatic source of the Gulf, which refused to be appointed or to reveal its position, said “President Donald Trump will issue a statement concerning the state of Palestine and his recognition”.
The source also added: “if an announcement is made for American recognition of the state of Palestine, this will be the most important declaration that will change the balance of power in the Middle East and more countries join the Abraham Agreement”.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Asi and Jordan King Abdullah II are reportedly not invited. /Periscope/
