US want to start tariff talks with China

“The US has been actively addressing China through numerous channels, hoping to hold discussions on the issue of tariffs”, Yuyuan Tantian said in a post published in her official account in Weibo social media, citing anonymous sources, reports BBC, broadcast Periscope.
American officials, including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and White House economic adviser Kevin Hasset, also voiced hope for progress in reducing trade tensions.
Hassett told CNBC there have been “loose executions in both governments” about tariffs and reducing tariffs from China for some American goods last week.
Beijing has made little effort to contain its anger at tariffs, which he says are equivalent to harassment and cannot prevent the rise of the second largest economy in the world. /Periscope/
