Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer says he is being kept informed of Liverpool police investigations into a car crash case in a crowd during the Liverpool FC victory party at Premier League.
Almost 50 people were injured in this incident, including four children.
“Liverpool stays together and the whole country stays with them”, Starmer said, writes BBC, broadcast Periscope.
The prime minister thanked the teams that were taken in the case of “who did a fantastic job last night and continue to do this”.
He says it is “often up-to-date” for police investigations, while also remains in close contact with Liverpool's hometown chairman Steve Rotherram.
Starmer is also asked about the police's decision to split the suspect's ethnic affiliation and he refuses to question whether that was the right decision.
This is a police issue and the investigation is ongoing, so I think we should leave it to them”, he answers.
