“S first I'd like to say something about the terrible situation in Gaza, where the level of suffering, the again bombing of innocent children, is completely intolable”, he said in the lower Chamber of the British Parliament, writes The Guardian, broadcast Periscope.
“We are terrified of Israel's escalation. We repeat our call for truce as the only way to free the hostages. We repeat our opposition to settlements in the West Coast and repeat our request to massively increase humanitarian aid in Gaza”.
Starmer said that the recent announcement that Israel will allow a “basic food table” in Gaza is unacceptable because this amount is completely insufficient.
So we need to coordinate our reaction because this war has been going on for a long time”. We cannot allow Gaza's people to die of hunger and Foreign Secretary [David Lami] will come soon to submit our answer to detail”, he said.
