According to the Special Prosecutor's File of the Republic of Kosovo, published by “The Justice and Security Agency “, Hysri Selimi is suspected that from the indefinite date to his arrest on May 6th 2025, as recruited by Serbia's Agency of Intelligence and Security (known as BIA), helped work this service in the form of collection and the delivery of information concerning radicalised persons and the number of their participation in the war in Syria, as well as senior political officials and security institutions in Kosovo.
In return for this service, the prosecution says BIA officials at meetings in Serbia have paid Selimi up to 700 euros, and have given him wise phones to communicate with BIA officials.
Through these actions, according to the Prosecution, Selimi has seriously jeopardised and damaged the constitutional judicial order and security of the Republic of Kosovo.
Therefore, for these actions, Hysri Selimi is suspected of criminal activity “Spying” by Article 124, paragraph 3 of the Republic of Kosovo Penal Code.
Selimi was arrested on Tuesday in a joint action of police, Prosecution and AKI.
The court has considered that the burden of a criminal offense is a grave nature, hence the appointment of the detention measure is necessary in this criminal case, and that any other measure would be insufficient for successful implementation of criminal procedure, preventing the normal course of this criminal procedure and preventing the repetition of criminal acts./Periscopi/
