Kosovo's Clinical and University Centre (QKUK) reports public opinion that a patient about 40 years old, who was receiving treatment at the University Clinical Centre in Kosovo, has changed his life as a result of suicide.
The patient was hospitals in the open ward of this clinic. In this department patients are not kept isolated and allowed out, in line with medical protocols and patients' rights.
QKUK's management, after accepting the information, has requested detailed reports from the Psychiatry Clinic Directorate. Currently, procedures for full examination of the circumstances of this case have begun.
QKUK provides public opinion that every measure will be taken in line with findings from the official report.
And every action will be taken with the aim of preventing similar cases and improving further psychiatric services.
