Skenderbeu's Strinnipi comes to Kosovo for celebration of Albanian chiefhero's birthday

During the statement to the media, Skanderbegh said that Kosovo is home to him and stressed the importance of national unity.
There's always a big moment for me to be here, because I feel like home when I come to Pristina, Kosovo, Albania. I'm so glad we're celebrating George Kastriot's birthday. I believe we must always remember our national hero and remain united, to show the world the greatness of our history,” he said.
“Organising Council member Albanian”, Basri Beka, stressed that central activity will be held on May 6th, in order to increase historical memory for the nation's hero, follows Periscope.
“We are honoured with the presence of Skenderbe's great-greatson and on May 6th we will host a magnificent party, as our hero deserves,” he declared.
Meanwhile, co-organizer Kryeziu announced that the holiday will include a wide spectrum of activities, with the participation of folklore groups and children from all Albanian lands.
As with the past years, we expect an extraordinary atmosphere. Groups from Tirana, Shkodra, Mirdita, Lezha, Skopje, Struga and Kosovo municipalities have headed towards Pristina to be part of this holiday,” said Kryeziu.
This is the fourth time the organisation “Albania” organises the event dedicated to the birth of Skenderbeu, with the goal of raising its image in collective memory.
The celebrations on May 6th will begin at 12:00 p.m. with a scientific symposium at the Albanological Institute, which will take part in historians from all over Albanian trends.
An art exhibition will then be opened at Teresa “Square, Teresa”, children's activities will take place, while at night a festive concert will be held with the participation of artists known as Ilir Shaqiri, Nikolla Nikprelaj, Kastriot Tusha and Kosovo rock stars.
Even last year, this day was marked with splendor in Pristina, with demands that it be declared a national holiday.
